Russia starts 1st major part of Dabaa nuclear plant

Egypt’s Electricity and Renewable Energy Minister Mohamed Shaker participated in the Saturday signing ceremony for a document reviewing the readiness of the Russiah “Atommash” company to start manufacturing the reactor core catcher, the first long-term equipment for the Dabaa nuclear plant project – Egypt’s first Nuclear plant.

UAE transferring military equipment to Libyan-Egyptian border

An in-depth investigation by Al Jazeera news channel revealed that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) had disassembled its military base in Eritrea, transferring a number of its military installations and vehicles to the Egyptian military base of Sidi Barrani, a town on the border with Libya, merely 240km from Tobruk.

EAEA receives Dabaa nuclear plant’s documents to review them in January

Abdel Hamid al-Desouky, the deputy chairperson of the Nuclear Power Plants Authority (NPPA) said that preparing all the documents required for the Dabaa nuclear plant for electricity generation with a 4800MW capacity, in addition to sending them to the Egyptian Atomic Energy Authority (EAEA), will be finalised in January 2019.
