Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry reiterated on Wednesday the importance of restructuring the African Union to enhance the competence of its Commission.

Shoukry made the remarks during a session in Addis Ababa on the topic as part of the preparatory meetings of the AU extraordinary Summit, to be held on November 17-18.

The top diplomat called also for setting out necessary measures to address financial and administrative restructure of the AU Commission.

He further urged reconsidering the form of its board, said the Foreign Ministry’s spokesman Ahmed Hafiz.
